For me, photography has never been about expensive gear or complicated setups. With a phone camera in hand and a simple lensbong clipped onto the lens, I found myself drawn into a miniature world that most people walk past without a second glance, from the fine textures of a leaf's surface to the surprisingly striking forms of plant-parasitic organisms up close. That is where the love for it began, and that is where it quietly grew into something more than a collection of images.
Over time, those photos found their purpose. They became teaching companions, putting real faces to the science that so often lives only in the pages of textbooks.
The desire to share eventually led me to introduce photography to young people in Jubung Village, Jember, through a community service program. There is something deeply rewarding about watching their early, hesitant shots turn into work good enough to sell on online photostock platforms. Some of them are now earning from their photos, and that, perhaps more than anything, makes the whole journey feel worthwhile.
On this page, I have included a selection of my own photographs connected to the world of Plant Protection, a small bridge between scientific knowledge and the quiet beauty that sometimes hides within it.
